Remote Support


With PC Experts' remote support service, our technicians can remotely access and control clients' computers to troubleshoot software, network, and performance issues.  Clients can watch in real-time as a technician repairs their computer.  Technicians are happy to stay on the phone with clients during these sessions.

To initiate a remote support session, first call us at 512-472-8324 - Then follow these steps:

  • Click the blue rectangle immediately below this step to download the PC Experts remote support application.

  • Select "Run" or "Open" when prompted.  In some Web browsers, you may first have to save the file and then run it.
  • Grant permission to run the program when prompted if you have User Account Control enabled.
  • Provide the given ID and password over the phone to your technician.
  • The technician will then complete the connection and initiate your remote support session.
Your remote session creates a secure, one-time connection that terminates on disconnect.  Remote support sessions are billed at $60/hour (half-hour minimum) unless conducted under a support contract or as part of our service guarantee.

 

 

How It Works

PC Experts uses remote access software because of its ease of use and ability to initiate one-time, completely private connections. When you click on the image between the black arrows, you will be prompted to run our connection application. This will give you a unique ID number and password. This password is only good for one session and will change if subsequent sessions are required.

Unlike some other remote applications, our software does not open any security holes in your system and does not clutter your system with unnecessary programs or services that run every time you start your computer.
